We are Irene and Vanni, two siblings from Florence who decided to start this adventure together.
Despite the eight-year age difference between us, we have always been very close. This project was born not only from our shared passion for travel and hospitality, but also from the desire to create something meaningful together.
A Modino Firenze Suites is much more than a guesthouse — it is part of our family history. For decades, this apartment was home to the office of our great-grandfather, then our grandfather, and later our father. This building has always been part of our lives.
At a certain point, we chose to take a different professional path and transform this familiar space into a place where we could welcome people from all over the world — while keeping its original spirit alive.
The name we chose reflects exactly this idea. “A Modino” is a Florentine expression that means done well, with care and attention — just as you would care for your own home. And that’s how we approached every detail of this project.
We designed A Modino Firenze Suites to feel welcoming, relaxed and authentic, combining a sense of home with comfort and thoughtful design.
We both love music, travel, good food and discovering new places, and we truly enjoy meeting people from different cultures. Having both lived and studied abroad, we developed an even deeper connection to Florence and a strong desire to share it through our own perspective.
Florence is our city, and we will be happy to recommend our favorite restaurants, cafés and hidden corners to help you experience it like a local.
